Odo the Shape Shifter

Well, Odo, much to our surprise, turned out to be a boy cat, not the girl we had thought. One day he rolled over enough for me to detect testicles and each month they get more visible, although his head and shoulders aren't growing yet as tomcats do. He still seems very kitten-sized, although he actually is almost as big as Neelix now. And we still haven't touched him. He cringes and runs from any hand. He has never tried to escape the house, though, and follows us from room to room. Mackie adores him and gives him baths every day and plays with him. I don't know how I am going to get him to the vet to get fixed. He's been inside four months now and no progress on his trusting us enough to touch him. Also, as of this post, Neelix is still alive.

Update: Neelix died in June 2017.

Update: January 2018. We still have never touched him. He won't let us get near, but he still seems happy to live here. When he gets out in the yard, he stays gone only a few hours and then we spot him hanging around the back door. If we prop it open and hide, he walks right back in.
